I went to the Emirates Airlines New York Office last month to fix an immediate ticketing problem, and I must say I was extremely impressed. To begin with, the venue is convenient, central in Midtown Manhattan, close to Grand Central. The office is elegant and streamlined, just what one would anticipate from a high class airline like Emirates. I didn't have to wait long; I was seated in 10 minutes with a rep who was exceedingly polite and friendly. I had a complex scenario: I'd booked a multi-city ticket with a date shift and wanted to change while still keeping part of the trip intact. The rep, whose first name I believe was Hassan, walked me through all my options patiently, checked seat availability, and even got me upgraded via my Skywards miles. What I liked most was the extent of personalized attention. At no time did I feel hurried or as though I was being pressured toward a course of action that I didn't desire. They really seemed interested in assisting me in achieving the best possible result. He even provided me with suggestions for lounge access in Dubai, based upon my revised schedule. Overall, I left the office smiling, my flight rebooked, and in a peaceful state of mind. It's not often these days one receives such personal in-person service from an airline. Highly recommend visiting if you like to have things done in person or have a convoluted booking problem.
